Okay I need to tell you about this place because I genuinely haven’t stopped thinking about it since I left. 🥹 Bonita, South Goa tucked inside Heritage Village Resort in Arossim, and honestly it doesn’t even feel real. A stately Portuguese villa, a lush courtyard, chandeliers inside, greenery all around, and a giant tree in the middle of everything. You walk in and immediately feel like you’ve found a secret. We started with cocktails because obviously - the Surfside (sea-inspired, light, and easy to drink) and the Coco Loco (creamy, coconut, send help 🥲). Then the small plates arrived and we just kept going. Crispy pork belly. Chargrilled prawns. Beef Carpaccio. Calamari à la plancha. Grilled pumpkin. That Beef Burger, OHMYGOD - should have stopped here but did we? Ofcourse NOT!!! For mains, the Harissa Grilled Chonak a local Goan fish with a punch of North African spice, served dramatically with steam pouring out. And we closed with the Pineapple Tres Leches which was the perfect sweet ending to what was honestly a near perfect meal. The food is globally inspired Modern European but grounded in local Goan produce and seafood - so everything feels both familiar and exciting at the same time. Oh and weekends have live music. ☀️ a little bit of sun is all I needed ☀️ and Kerala gave me the whole sky. Last June, I found myself on a hillside in Kovalam, surrounded by 16 acres of tropical paradise, the Arabian Sea stretching endlessly before me, and backwaters so still they looked like Liquid Glass 😍 This wasn’t just a stay - it was a full mind body reset. 🌿 The kind of place where French windows flood your room in golden light the moment you open them. where thatched Balinese-style cottages sit tucked into jungle greenery, and you genuinely forget that the rest of the world exists, where the infinity pool overlooks the lagoon AND the ocean, and you float there wondering how your life led to this exact perfect moment☁️🌊 Evenings were high tea by the sea with Kerala snacks as the sun melted into the horizon. Nights were dinner at Bait - the most uniquely placed seafood restaurant I’ve ever sat at, with the Arabian Sea roaring on one side and quiet backwaters on the other. Mornings were birdsong, warm light through palm fronds, and coffee on a private balcony that I never wanted to leave. No rush. No noise...just sun, salt, green, and that slow, easy kind of happiness that only a place like this can give you. 🌺 Kerala, you will always have my whole heart. A dry oil that is suitable for every skin type - it melts just so beautifully into the skin.
