About the artist:
Music has been a constant in Arktic’s life from an early age. Starting out as a drummer and playing for around six years, he always knew he wanted to take things further. While drums were his entry point, the pull toward melody, groove, and the relationship between sounds led him to electronic music. Discovering FL Studio in 2018 marked a turning point, opening the door to experimentation across different styles, with early inspiration drawn from artists like Flume.
His journey into DJing and production has spanned the past seven to eight years, though it wasn’t always linear. The early stages were defined by exploration and uncertainty, searching for a sound that felt true to him. That clarity came around two years ago following his first club show with Astra, where a deeper connection to techno and its community began to take shape. Since then, that sense of direction has only strengthened.
Based in Naarm (Melbourne), Arktic is part of a scene that continues to influence and inspire his work. Both in his productions and DJ sets, he focuses on building immersive, high energy environments, balancing darker textures with more melodic elements to create a sense of movement and tension across the dancefloor.
A defining part of his journey so far has been co founding the label allure. alongside KLIO. What began as a passion project has grown into a platform supporting both local and international artists through events, mixes, and releases, shaped by a strong sense of community.
Alongside this, support from labels such as BCCO, Grab The Groove, and RAW has marked important milestones in his development, reinforcing the connection between his music and a wider audience.
Looking ahead, Arktic continues to build momentum. An upcoming event at QQQ St Park on April 17 in collaboration with Epoch marks the next step on the performance side, while a vinyl release with a Rotterdam based label is set to follow in May. With a steady flow of new music on the horizon, this year is shaping into a significant one.
This is Arktic.
