We’re proud to share that BHC Creating Liveable Communities - Solstice (Redcliffe Social Housing) has received a Commendation for Residential Architecture - Multiple Housing at the 2026 Australian Institute of Architects Greater Brisbane Regional Architecture Awards. Solstice delivers 82 high‑quality homes for older Queenslanders, shaped around the principles of dignity, inclusion and connection. Last week our team took a studio walk through the newly opened Waterfront Brisbane Riverwalk, a great moment to reflect on the transformation taking shape along the river’s edge. The walk was led by Arkhefield Practice Director Anne Sulinski, who has been leading the project alongside George Hazell. It gave our team valuable insight into the design journey and the ambition behind this significant piece of public realm. The new 250m promenade, now six metres wide, creates a safer and more comfortable space for people moving along the river, a strong example of thoughtful design shaping Brisbane’s everyday experience. With the Riverwalk open and the project soon rising vertically, it is exciting to see Waterfront Brisbane coming to life and laying the foundation for a more connected and generous future city. Great to share this milestone with the team, and thanks to Anne and George for guiding us through. @waterfrontbrisbane @dexus_community @johnhollandgroup @fjcstudio

Mini Day Out: Scarborough Edition 🦐🐠⚽️🏌️‍♂️ This week the Arkhefield team swapped desks for sea breeze with a mini day out at Scarborough Beach! We kicked things off with a visit to one of our recently completed projects in the area — more on that soon 👀 before diving into a delicious seafood lunch and some well-earned beachside fun. From site visits to salty air and sandy toes, it was the perfect way to recharge and reconnect. #Arkhefield #StudioLife #MiniDayOut
