Music has been my life. Worked at major labels for 18 years. Lucky to work with visionary artists & some great humans. Taste and commerce are often oil and water but I found a way to emulsify for a while Realized the world was evolving and the reasons I got into this didn’t match my reality Left the corporation Had to get off the treadmill. Became a dad, decided to use my hair while I have it Considered leaving entertainment Reflected. Stuff I realized: The power is in the hands of creatives. Support them. Art that actually moves culture is rare and all mediums need to unite. No one knows anything so build something for the now that is agile enough to adapt for the future. Work with people you respect. Work with people who’ve built their careers without a safety net or Monopoly money. Work with people who share your values. Work with people who will speak truth to power even when it’s not convenient. Work with people that will laugh when you stick your tongue out at them.
