Ariwo is the Yoruba word for noise.
As a womxn and a person of colour I’ve lost count of the times I’ve been told I was “too much” or had my voice silenced. As an introvert and someone who grew up being incredibly shy I’ve also struggled with finding my voice and advocating for myself.
The heart of Ariwo by Roar is about reclaiming that power, your voice, your culture, the beautiful, complicated and sometimes contradictory parts of yourself that make you whole.
Excited to share more of the journey and the stories behind each piece very soon🤍
POV: you being greeted by the outside world all week long🤝
