日本の周縁部である東北の地、岩手で生まれ
幼少期を過ごしました。
岩手大学教育学部芸術文化課程造形コースを卒業後、
東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科修士課程・博士後期課程修了 博士号取得（美術）
主に石材を造形素材として自然の風景と人々の暮らしをテーマに彫刻制作を行っています。
また、美術教育の視点から東北における生活を見つめる表現教育の可能性についての理論研究も進めています。
彫刻制作では、自然物である石や木などの素材が自分の思い通りにはならないことが多くあり、素材と対話しながら表現を行っています。
東北の地における人々の暮らしも自然の影響を大きく受け、天災と向き合いながら過ごしていると感じています。
自然と人、そして素材と向き合うことを大切にしながら表現を続けています。

Born and raised in Iwate, a region in Tohoku, Japan's peripheral area.
Primarily creates sculptures using stone as a medium, exploring themes of natural landscapes and human life.
Also conducts theoretical research on the potential of expressive education to examine life in Tohoku from an art education perspective.
In my sculptural practice, materials like stone and wood—natural substances—often resist being shaped exactly as I envision. I create by engaging in dialogue with the material itself.
The lives of people in the Tohoku region are also profoundly influenced by nature. They live while confronting natural disasters.
I continue my artistic expression while valuing the act of engaging with nature, people, and the materials themselves.
