So earlier this year, we were both talking about how, ever since switching to pixies, we had to wear a bonnet and tie a scarf around our edges to keep our hair from flattening at the top overnight. It worked, but it was doing way too much. We wanted one product that gave the same results without all the extra steps.
When we looked around, the bonnets on the market were either poor quality, shaped like a chef’s hat, or had bands that were too thin, not satin, or just not doing what they needed to do. So we decided to create our own.
After months of sampling and testing fabrics, we finally perfected what we now proudly call the “AP Bonnet”. A versatile, quality bonnet designed not just for pixies, but for wigs, frontals, ponytails, and anything that needs that secure, protective band.

I’m constantly receiving messages asking if the bonnets will be returning after we stopped production in 2021. After the move to Ghana it wouldn’t have been feasible to continue as most of you are based in the UK and you would have had to pay a very high shipping fee.
I’m very glad to announce that we’ve found a system that works so the bonnets are back! They will now be proudly made in Ghana, using the same premium satin we used before from the UK and we now have a UK stockist so we are officially back; bigger and better!
I’m so excited to be doing the bonnets again!

I'm closing down AriMai 😢. It's been such an incredible experience building this business from scratch and the support from you all has been incredible! I'm relocating soon and realistically it won't be possible to do this business! I wanted to personally thank you all because I had no idea where this business would go when I started and over a year later I've sold over 1000 bonnets! MAD!
