One month and 29 days since I’ve been gracefully leaning into motherhood; it still feels so surreal.
What a huge privilege and honour it is!
Motherhood is mighty demanding, yet miraculous and beautiful. A life of emotions being all over the place yet bursting with love. A life of unending tasks and sacrifices. I’ve been stretched to capacities I never knew existed within me in the past few weeks yet I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Happy Mother’s Day to me, and to everyone already wearing and intending to wear the mom cap.
May our labours of love never be in vain ❤️
So I got married in a week long series of small, simple, intimate events (introduction, civil, trad and church weddings) in the past week.
To be honest, I can’t find the words to really express the joy that I have and experienced through it all.
Few, very important highlights:
1. I married right and well. No confusion, no doubts, no pressure.
2. Jesus gets the glory!
3. God’s timing is perfect, He really does make everything beautiful in it’s time. As DDK, @deboladejikurunmi put it in a post earlier: Time is the currency of destiny! The vindication of the silent builders. The definer of life, the equalizer of humanity. Time, the divine tool that prunes and proves us. Time, so universal, it seems like we're all on one ticking clock; but oh so personal, the time zones of destiny are so different for each man's race.
4. I have a wealth of purposeful relationships that I wouldn’t trade for anything. No amount of money can buy that.

2020 has been such a wild ride, and yet I’m still standing! I saw this scripture come to life all around me: “I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.” I have good health end a sound mind. I have good family(nuclear, extended and spiritual). I have good friends. I have a good job. I have good leaders and colleagues. I have good mentors. I have a good home. I eat good food. I have peace of mind. What more can I ask for?
God is so full of mercy, and I’m thankful, and more thankful and most thankful.

Thankful for a productive work year! We’re ending well. Glad to be doing work with all these amazing people. They make it fun and easy; and yes sometimes we scream and raise voices and annoy one another, we still make up and continue as one big family because we really don’t have a choice.
