The main challenge working on this movie was the fact that this film touched a very important topic. And because of this, I was trying to infuse as much human emotion into the character as possible. So that the viewers would feel as much empathy as if the main character was played by a real person. The range of emotions was very complex in this film. I know some people would say that AI can't act, but, hopefully, watching this film might show a different perspective. . . Shànzi . . Trying new Uni-1 model on Lumalabs. . . Concept was inspired by traditional hand fans aesthetics. To test this model I was experimenting with vintage photography looks and lighting. I wanted to create various designs and patterns of hand fans, playing around with different textures and materials and apply different photographic looks. Some visuals look more staged and stylized, others feel like it was taken in a moment. I like the warm, nostalgic feeling you get when are looking at the photographs taken on analogue cameras. Like the lovely charm of an old polaroid photo that was hanging on somebody's fridge for years and got faided by sunlight. Pastel Dreams . . Concept Development: Hello Kitty Pastel Dreams Hotel . . The concept development of work that I've completed last year for @modifi_co AI art challenge. When I was working on this concept I wanted to achieve certain atmosphere that visuals will translate in the final work and in order to do so I actually build the whole environment of this dreamy Hotel. I've designed rooms, gardens, different clothing, staff uniforms, lobbys, bars and so on. Playing around with materials, textures, lightings, fabrics, ornaments on clothing, everything was part of the process of building this set. Sometimes I can spend hours looking at how certain environment looks with different lighting or during a different time of the day. I wanted to share this visuals because for me as an artist the most fun stage is the concept development. And for me, personally, this constant process of try and error is the most exciting part of making art and frustrating at times, of course too. This process quite often stays behind the scenes, so as hundrets of frames that were an important part of the design stage. So I thought I would share a few with you. . . . .
