Hello! I’m excited to share a new release today called Oday featuring two improvised solo bass pieces. Each track was performed live and recorded straight through in a sun dappled studio in upstate New York, uncut from beginning to end. On this record I’m trying to trick you into not listening, to sneak past your sentinel ear and land in a place where you can watch the sounds drift and dissolve, like an Etch A Sketch being written on and shook or colors oozed on wobbly spin art. I hope the music creates that effect for you, and that you can sink into the sounds as they appear, mush and float away. This experimental evening of live music and recording was as magical as we dreamt it would be thanks to all who helped bring our vision to life! The team at @studiogbrooklyn went above and beyond to accommodate the vision and the sound was superb. Can’t wait to share the recordings down the line. Special thanks to our hero @joelhamiltone ✨ The ethereal scenting by @acutlan brought us to the forest, the ocean and even… THE MOON! @cherie.nesfield seemlessly operated the galactic (and sometimes 3D) projections while @marcmcandrews made sure our lighting was on point to feature The Great Lamp Collection, illuminating the scene with vibe and warmth. Let us not forget our fabulous TV set by @dylbot9000 📺 Our film crew @paulo__placencia @nathanielcastrophoto @hypnojerk @marcmcandrews captured it all and we’ll be seeing that soon! @marie.sugarbrain branded our very special 3D glasses! And that’s not all! We had custom Shangri-La cocktails by @twotop_hospitality which held not just the ice cube moon but also the entire universe.
