11 whole years of Amalya!!
Your laugh might be our favorite sound in the world. There’s been so much of it this year, and honestly, on the hard days, it was basically medicine. Cheaper than therapy. Way more fun. And when you really wanted to make sure we were ok, you made us a playlist. The family DJ, always on duty, throwing us some Outkast when we really need it.
Dad and I are so proud of who you’re becoming: the girl who’s responsible enough to see Tate McRae at MSG on her own, thoughtful enough to clean the whole apartment just because, and loving enough that her little sister thinks she is basically the center of the universe (the galaxy, actually, her words).

Davina, I can’t believe my baby is SIX! You are decidedly not a baby any more. You have grown up so much this year. Rocked kindergarten, learned to read, developed your own taste is music (met your hero @bensonboone ), joined the gymnastics team, expanded your circle of besties, danced while you skied, and charmed everyone who spent time with you. You love your family fiercely and your big sister most of all. We love you like WOAH and are so proud of the big kid you are becoming.
Happy 10th birthday to this gem of a human being who lets me be her mom! Amalya you are the heart of our family, the best big sister, the first to suggest a dance party, and the sweetest snuggler I’ve ever met. This year had so many highs it’s impossible to list them all. Happy birthday to our favorite four-year-old goof! You bring so much joy everywhere you go. From Willa (the coolest imaginary friend), to your nightly talent show (so much Taylor Swift!), to your amazing outfits and poses, no one has an imagination like you! Last year brought a lot of firsts- skiing, full-day school, and cutting your own hair (🤨) and we can’t wait to see what this year will bring. Love you to infinity and beyond!
@arilennox in Sydney, AUS was the last show I had play before COVID shut everything down. We had to cancel our last show of the tour in order to get her home before the borders closed. For her show at @briccelebratebk to be my first one back felt sooo right!
