In a basement with enough space to try out different things from writing to weird recording techniques. It is far form being perfect, it was all mixed on a Amek Mozart console in a poorly sounding room. Learning to commit and move on to the next thing was more important for me than spending days trying to nail the perfect drum take.
The reason I still wanted to release this EP, knowing that it is technically very far from where i am today, is because in someways, it still brings me back in time and makes me relive my path and I don’t want to leave pieces behind. Understanding that sound isn’t only the movement of air but can be much more than that. It can translate to feelings, stories, memories. Us, as humans aren’t perfect, and this is me, in 2019, not being perfect.
