Once again I didn’t fully understand the weight of this song when I wrote it. I later realised the power in these last moments with a person which can define how you look at life… at others… and most of all how you look at yourself within this world. The painful moments can be some of the most beautiful in hindsight.
Maybe I’ll make a video soon to explain my thoughts behind the meaning of this song but - for now I just want for all of you to feel it and take what you need from it. I do hope that it resonates. 🙏

At the time I wrote this song, I was in mind of those last moments we had together. I had this image of the two of us sitting on the floor in a burning house… The pain was unreal but we felt alive. It was the end but we couldn’t leave, we wouldn’t rather be anywhere else than right there. It felt like we were dying in the beauty, in the pain, in the Divine.

‘FLATLINE’ is all yours TOMORROW! ✨
I have to be honest releasing this song seems so surreal at the moment. For those of you who know me personally you will know that my Dad has been sick for a very long time now… but to put this topic out into the world in the way that I am is actually a bit scary.
Somehow the folky production and the hopeful Melodie’s give it a lightness. Then on the other hand the lyrics seem very harsh and direct to the un-expecting ear. This wasn’t some kind of plan in fact this is just how it came out during the writing process. I am only now realising what this song really means to me ❤️🩹
I made a promise to myself and all of you listening that from now on I will be as authentic with my art as possible. I keep saying it but it is because I mean it. These hard situations in life are never black & white and sometimes the grey area is painful and imperfect - but that is also what makes the complexities of life so beautiful. The lessons we learn.
So in keeping my promise I will share more on this story tomorrow when the song is released.
