Looks like the last of blue sky and sunshine for a little while. What gorgeous colours we have had on the mill with the ivy and hydrangea against the blue sky.
Gorgeous sounds too as the many families of sparrows raised this season roost in the ivy every night. Bed time for them is about 5.30pm and then they start to gently chatter to each other at about 7.30am.Its the loveliest way to wake up.
I love the thought of them all tucked in safe and fluffed up right next to the bedroom windows.
Blue skies are back and here's the river looking so delicious I'm tempted to have a swim.
When I was young I used to be in the river on any sunny day between Easter and autumn half term.
These days I'm not so brave!
Soft pink and peach tones upstairs. I bought this dahlia as a 'mystery colour' and regretted as soon as I got it home and the first flower came out.
I'm not a peach fan colour wise! But always interesting how flowers just blend together naturally.
We could learn a lot from a peach dahlia...
Bright jewels of colour still going very strong in the cutting patch ensuring all our guests have lots of bunches of fresh flowers to enjoy during their stay.
And we're not the only ones enjoying them (zoom in....)
