From existing space to the Flamingo story.
This wasn’t a blank canvas. The flamingo presentation centre began as an existing pc space ready for a new life. Inspired by the former 1955 iconic flamingo motor and the playful spirit of Palm Springs, check out our design process from concept to sketch up, to finishes, furniture and lighting selections. Every detail was chosen to transform the space into a mid-century inspired experience, full of personality and hospitality. A retrofit with a story, a little nostalgia, and a whole lot of flamingo energy.
Save this if you love seeing how great design comes to life.

If your bedroom can’t work overtime, we don’t want it.
Sleeping space? Yes.
Workspace? Also yes.
Storage? Obviously.

Neutral rooms are ruthless - the furniture has nowhere to hide.
When the pallet is, this restrained, every piece has to earn its place. The silhouettes texture scale, lighting, and negative space all become part of the story. This is where furniture stops being filler and becomes the design move.
In a neutral room, furniture is the drama

Unboring® Projects: A MID-CENTURY REVIVAL IN SURREY, BC
The Flamingo reimagines the original 1955 Flamingo Hotel that was once a lively mid-century destination. Led by Area3 Design, the new space captures nostalgia into a refined, modern context.
As Principal Lisa Hansen explains:
“The goal was to capture the magic of its origins and bring back a mid-century, Palm Springs-inspired vibe.”
Working alongside one of our knowledgable LightForm team members, combining pieces from LOUIS POULSEN that were selected to create softness, depth, and a strong visual identity rooted in mid-century modern design. Finished off with a striking lobby moment anchored by FOSCARINI’s Big Bang, an impactful introduction to the space.

If your space looks like everyone else’s… people forget it.
#Throwbackthursday Too many sales centres play it safe—neutral, predictable, easy to ignore. We took a different approach. A clean base, then unapologetic hits of colour pulled straight from the brand. Graphic, bold, and intentional. Every moment is designed to stand out, spark curiosity, and actually be remembered.
Because this isn’t just about showing homes—it’s about selling a feeling.
Safe design blends in. This doesn’t.
Be honest—would you go this bold or play it safe? 👇

This is how you do neutrals.
#thorwbackthursday Clean, cozy, and doing the most without looking like it. From the white kitchen to the built-ins and soft, layered finishes, this home nails that sweet spot between modern interior design and everyday livability.
Which slide are you picking?

This is how you sell a vision.
This is where the story starts. More than a community model, this space is designed to pull you in—surrounded by warm mass timber, framed views, and a sculptural stair that draws your eye deeper into the experience. You don’t just look at the vision— you move through it, connect to it, and start to imagine yourself in it. Because the best spaces don’t explain… they let you feel it.
Be honest—would you explore this space or head straight to the model?

This is NOT your typical meeting room.
Walnut walls.
Soft textures.
Sunlight that hits just right.
At Flamingo, even the private meeting space feels more like a lounge than a boardroom, with a seamless connection to the outdoors.
Because when design is this intentional… even a quick meeting feels like a moment.
Meeting… or stay a while? You decide 👇

A home office works even better when every member of the family has a place in it. #ThrowbackThursday
Throwing it back to The Smith in South Surrey, designed for Ikonik Homes. This home office was designed to feel clean, functional, and quietly modern, with integrated millwork, open shelving, and a simple palette that keeps the space feeling bright and organized. One of our favourite details is the modern built-in dog house, giving the homeowners’ furry baby a spot of their own while tying seamlessly into the overall design. Practical, personal, and a little playful — exactly the kind of detail we love.

If your sales centre doesn’t look like this… we should talk.
Not your typical walkthrough. Not your typical pitch.
At Oceanfront Squamish, we designed an experience—where mass timber architecture, a sculptural stair, and a fully immersive community model do the storytelling for you.
You don’t just see the vision…
You move through it, feel it, connect to it.
Because great design doesn’t convince people— it makes them believe.
Be honest—would you stay longer in a space like this?
