Here's a fun patch I made last night that I thought was worth recording/sharing!
It’s mostly a DT beat with some Euro stuff on top (Arbhar processing my voice, Taiko, and the 258t as primary sound sources).
It was a stereo-out type of thing, leaving little room for improvement, but it turned out pretty well I think?

Over the years, I’ve found myself reaching for the same modules when starting my Euro patches—and the Taiko is definitely one of them. I love it! There’s no better pairing for building a quirky groove than Marbles + Taiko, which is exactly how I started this little sketch 🥁.
If you love the Taiko too, you’ll hear quite a bit of it on track #2 from my upcoming album, which is named after it as a nod to both the Japanese drums and the module itself. You can check it out now on Bandcamp, with the full record dropping on February 25.

This is an excerpt from ‘Common Enemy’ off my upcoming album ‘New Moon’ (out on February 25).
I remember starting it with my Digitakt, layering some free-flowing synth and rhodes noodling along with various percussive elements, then shaping them into a somewhat cohesive piece on the computer.
I often work this way—arranging scattered elements until they click, much like a collage. While this process can be frustrating at times, I find it quite fun and rewarding when things fall into place!

I made this record last year and it feels so good to finally be able to share it with you. The title carries a reference to the idea of fragility as anything that appears in the world starts off as a primitive and delicate entity that has to pursue its path and grow against all odds. It's tough out there for artists these days and I'm so grateful to still be able to do this.
