Rory Friers // HOME with Michael Keeney & Arco String Quartet. Special Guest Áine Gordon.
Sat 25th October 2025
Internationally recognised composer, producer and immersive artist Rory Friers plays a very special hometown performance to mark the launch of his debut solo release HOME.
Best known for his emotionally resonant film scores, immersive sound installations, and his award-winning work as guitarist and songwriter in experimental rock band And So I Watch You From Afar, Friers blends intricate strings, warm electronica and expressive guitar into deeply emotional musical experiences.
This one-off concert features frequent collaborators: pianist Michael Keeney, Arco String Quartet, and others from his core ensemble, performing new music from Home and selections from his back catalogue and film work.
Friers’ sold out performances — including Altogether All Alone at W5, Dolby Atmos concert All Around Us at SARC, and spatial concert series at Mussenden Temple — have earned widespread acclaim for their powerful blend of intimacy and innovation. In 2024, his practice expanded further with installation projects in Australia and the Middle East, orchestral premieres closer to home alongside the Ulster Orchestra and new collaborations at the forefront of AI, VR, and spatial sound.
A chance to hear new music and past work brought to life in one of Belfast’s most intimate venues.
