Thank you to everyone who commented on the stories. I’ve consolidated the responses here. It’s so hard to know what to trust on the internet so it means so much you all shared your experiences with me and I hope this helps anyone else on the hunt for their dream sewing machine too.
People also said not to buy the heavy duty singer I posted on the stories. This model seems to be all over the Internet right now. Also although a few people recommended bernette by Bernina this is what I had and it had a lot of issues. But that was over 15 years ago so maybe they have improved it.
The day I posted this story my partner came home with his Mums sewing machine to use until I find my own. I can’t tell you how excited I am! It’s been just over a year since I sewed anything and I’m so so ready to get back into it! #lifeofanomad 😅
