The power of 3D in the design process 🌿
Our Northcote project is a perfect example of why we lean so heavily into 3D modelling during design. When a home is undergoing a major renovation, there are so many moving parts — levels, connections, sightlines, trees, pools, pergolas, privacy — and 3D allows everyone to truly see how it all comes together before anything is built.
In this garden, the landscape wraps the renovated weatherboard home in a lush green envelope, with clearly defined outdoor destinations: a ground-level pool and deck, alfresco entertaining under a grape-covered pergola, meandering steppers through layered planting, flexible lawn, a sculptural outdoor shower, and immersive planting everywhere you turn. Feature trees bring scale, habitat and structure, while narrow spaces (like the side path) are transformed into calm, green moments rather than leftover zones.
3D lets us test relationships — how the garden steps with the land, how planting softens architecture, how privacy and openness can coexist — and gives clients confidence to make decisions early, before concrete is poured or trees are planted.
Design clarity = better gardens

Camberwell House- Concept Design. This Concept tries to make sense of a sprawling and poorly renovated heritage home, by ordering the spaces in a more functional way. By demolishing poor previous extensions to the rear, and retaining existing assets like the existing pool and carport structure, the new extension provides a modern counterpoint to the original heritage home. The new extension provides a large open plan living zone which connects better with the garden and pool area.
Some before and after shots of our Mont Albert Project, which is currently on the market! We transformed this poorly designed double height space into something completely different.
