Helmut Lang
1999
Type III Denim Jackets
Helmut Lang’s work was catalytic in the transformation of classic denim staples to sophisticated high fashion pieces. American denim jackets were a strong source of inspiration for the Austrian designer, who in turn created countless garments influenced by their iconic detailing and proportions. Helmut Lang referenced and further modernized the famous Levi’s Type III denim jacket for these pieces. The silhouettes are form fitting yet with enough ease to move about comfortably.
The black piece is superficially treated with a wax coating that provides both a functional and decorative element. The wax also reinforces the jacket, making it more rugged and structured.

In the ugly-shoe contest du jour—a highly fashionable one. German-made, built for comfort, and cool with the counterculture of both ’70s hippies and ’90s grungers. Who knew, before the spring summer collection of 2018, that Birkenstock had never yet involved itself with a fashion designer? Rick Owens did, because he was first.
It’s funny—you just assume that they have, because everyone has done their ‘version of,’ but there’s never been an official Birkenstock-endorsed one,” Rick Owens marvels. “That’s why I wanted to do it.”
With respect: “I didn’t really want to do that much to them,” he says laconically. “I didn’t really want to throw a lot of spangles at it and call it a day. I wanted to do something to the architecture, so I just extended the straps so they hit the floor, and I added more holes, because when you add holes they become confection, like lace. Punching holes always makes something more delicate.”
1017 ALYX 9SM
Double Breasted Blazer
S/S 2021
Size: 50, fits small
The SS21 collection was Matthew Williams’s last one before his appointment as the artistic director of Givenchy. This collection, which combines both men’s and women’s pieces, is one of his most exciting at Alyx so far—a fact that is helped by the intimate lookbook images by Toyin Ibidapo. Much of the stiffness or strictness associated with his early work has been cut away, with jackets pared down to their most essential shapes and slip dresses constituting the majority of the womenswear offering.
Enfants Riches Déprimés x Thierry Lasry
The Isolar Sunglasses
They’re crafted in France from acetate and feature a soft rectangle shape, thick stripe frames with contrast tortoiseshell on the inside, green tinted lenses and logo stamp on the arm.
These sunglasses were part of the collab between ERD and glassmaker Thierry Lasry. They are super high in quality and are loved by fans of both brands. They were seen all over the world’s favourite artists in 2019 and are definitely a must have for every collector.

Printemps Eté 2018
Silk Television Jacket
Size: M
In the SS18 collection the pampered youth appear to have matured from previous collections’ firmly rebellious tone, replacing it with a sort of dismissive sophistication that came through an array of unkept but opulent garments like this silk jacket.
Raf Simons
SS 2004 ‘May The Circle Be Unbroken’
Siddhartha Lithorgraph T-Shirt
Herman Hesse graphic
Size: 48
For Raf Simons’ Spring Summer 2004 collection “May The Circle Be Unbroken”, the designer shifted his focus to themes of spiritualism, Gnosticism, and literature. Specifically, German author Herman Hesse was a disciple of gnostic psychologist Carl Jung. The garments showcased the cyclical nature of consciousness, life, and the struggle of finding oneself as an individual.
Maison Martin Margiela
FW 2007
Long Fingerless Sleeves
Shiny Viscose Material
Size: M
Still brand new with tags, hard to find for a 17 year old item.
For one of Margiela’s last collections there was a dramatic, graphic elegance in the way he worked the theme through black and white, with contrasting shots of fluorescent pink and lime. These gloves would be the ideal accessory to replicate such iconic runway looks.

“Restorative!” John Galliano declaimed. As the FW20 show was Galliano’s treat for the eyes to take in: an immersion in his unique color-sense. Which can be seen when looking at this item’s vibrant Barbie pink color. Galliano may have credited Edward Hopper’s paintings as his starting point, but his orchestration of innovative cutting and texture—by turns bold and delicate—took it somewhere all of his own.
