@leonardogiusti and I co-authored an article referenced in the book called “The Power of Metaphors in Human-AI Interaction”. We explored how the metaphors we use like Companion, Toolkit, or Enchanted Objects shape the way people understand and engage with intelligent systems. We were interested in how these frames influence expectations, trust, and the sense of agency someone feels when interacting with AI.
