I don't use my kindle as as much as I could because I like having physical books & I don't fancy buying a book, then buying it again in a different format. However the knowledge that Amazon is about to make old kindles unupdatable* I figured I'd upload some more books whilst I still could!
* it is after all understandable difficult for a company the size of Amazon to maintain simple text files for kindles

the second day of #BucksAndBounty was 50m Sunday which saw the compounds and barebows getting to play.
It started off a bit more overcast and windier than Saturday (recurvers get all the good weather) but once the sun came out it was a lovely day.

this weekend saw the start of the outdoor season, or at least the first visit to Lilleshall of the year for #BucksAndBounty and for a change the weather was... really, really nice!
First off was 70m Saturday which saw the recurvers struggling with sunshine, almost no wind, and newish bosses but champions were crowned (we need to get crowns 🤴)

this weekend I was in the lovely, sunny lands of South Wales (we won't talk about this afternoon) doing some actual archery.
I'm planning on shooting this season from the blue peg because I'm still working on issues of actually getting my arrows away. I spent most of the weekend joking that if it went bad I could always break out my camera but thankfully whilst I still struggled on a handful of the targets (long uphill) my shooting went a lot better than it has done in previous occasions. We caught the group ahead up!
I even managed an 18 on an, admittedly very short, 60 cm face!
I may now have to enter some more shoots...

last indoor shoot of the season (for me) was the finals of the @bucssport Indoor Archery Champs. This was the culmination of the three qualifying events and saw the champions in recurve, compound, barebow, and longbow crowned.

home early enough to go shooting because practice makes perfect and whilst I'll settle for adequate come my first competition in a few weeks I'm also aware that until that day I've no idea how I'll shoot.
But still managing six strong shots at the end of 5 dozen at 60yds is a good place to be!

this weekend saw the second @bucssport indoor archery qualification event hosted by Bristol Uni. We've now had sessions 1-6 with only three more left next weekend to try to win a spot at Finals next month.
