Come join us this Saturday at Reference Point. This weekend we will be launching Edition 3 and discussing some of the references that were pivotal to the formation of the book, alongside those that are found within it. The bibliography is extensive and can be found on the B2 poster included with the Edition, including the wonderful 'Momo' by Michael Ende (Thienemann Verlag, 1973), as discussed by Diana Ibáñez López. @referencepoint180 @dianagrama

ARCH-IVE : Edition 3 was recently acquired by The British Library. This was a special moment for us having transcribed large parts of the Edition under the coffered ceiling of Humanities Room 1. Thanks to Jerry Jenkins for getting in touch and @britishlibrary for purchasing. ARCH-IVE : Edition 3 is now available to purchase on the ARCH-IVE website. We will be officially launching next weekend at Reference Point. Links are in the bio for both. #thebritishlibrary

Whilst ARCH-IVE : Edition 3 is now available to purchase, we have also updated the website with all the interviews in the latest copy. It takes on a slightly different format to previous editions, making reference to an idea discussed in our interview with Diana Ibáñez López - Ghost References. This idea is inverted, making the references readily available but redacting what our interviewees had to say about them and how in their mind, they are connected. This allows you to follow the key literary ideas and to develop an initial understanding of their library, whilst also allowing you to draw your own conclusions. The format enables a constellation to form, an idea that many practitioners have spoken about during their interviews. If the references intrigue you, or you want to uncover more of the discussion, the full publication is available to purchase on our website. Alongside the interviews, there are several corresponding photographs and footnotes, building on some of the ideas held within the dialogue. This is coupled with 3 essays on the topic of the archive and a bibliography poster, all held within an archival folder. Excerpts from: @dianagrama @_knight_david @cristina_dk_cm @manijeh.verghese

ARCH-IVE : Edition 3 is now available. We are thrilled to be able to announce that Edition 3 of ARCH-IVE is now available to purchase from the Arch-ive website. Further information on stockists and collections will be detailed soon. Thank you to everybody that contributed to the Crowdfunder. Without your help Edition 3 would not have happened and we are extremely grateful for all your support. For those of you that pre-ordered, you should either have received your copy, or it is on the way. If you would like to purchase a copy, head over to the Arch-ive website, link in bio. A massive thank you also to all those that contributed to Edition 3 and gave up their time to talk about all things books. It was wonderful to have so many intriguing and compelling conversations about literature, and for the first time in Edition 3, across a variety of different formats. Thank you: @adamnathanielfurman @asifkhan.now @buildingonthebuilt @_david_knight @cristina_dk_cm @dianagrama @heathcoteedwin @manijeh.verghese @roz_barr_architects_ltd @studionaama @krish.nathaniel @localworkstudio @rosiebalaam We can’t wait to see what you think, so please feel free to continue the discussion. In 2020 we received a small amount of funding from The 125 Fund at the University of Westminster to travel to Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels to undertake an Arch-ive series. Unfortunately, the trip was derailed by COVID, but in the summer of 2022, Dominic Eley and Tim Lucas travelled to Belgium and spoke to some incredible guests. These included Marie-José Van Hee, Dirk Somers of Bovenbouw, Aslı Çiçek, and Johnny Leya of Traumnovelle, amongst others (clue in the image as to who we also spoke to!). Any profits raised from fundraising for Edition 3 will be used directly to fund the publishing of a special edition focusing on Belgium, one of Europe’s most prominent and exciting architectural scenes. We can’t wait to share this with you. Beyond this, we are looking to undertake interviews further afield. If there is anywhere you think we should go, or anyone you think we should speak to, please let us know. @bovenbouw.architectuur @cicek_asli @traumnovelle.eu

ROSIE ELLISON-BALAAM ‘My Archives, Your Archives, Our Archives’ @rosiebalaam Rosie Ellison-Balaam questions what it means to value knowledge or information, placing the archives we all hold as equal: "the books you have at home, Google drives of texts and images, saved Instagram posts, letters, and emails.” Rosie discusses the significant difference between these personal archives and those formed as part of an institution and the importance of humans as gatherers, rather than hunters. @sitterwerk © Stiftung Sitterwerk, Katalin Deér, 2018.
