This morning, the Arcadia Fire Department was honored to participate in the opening ceremony for the Field of Honor hosted by the Rotary Club of Arcadia. 🇺🇸
The display stands as a meaningful tribute to those who have served our country and community with courage and sacrifice.
We also want to thank Rotary for recognizing Firefighter/Paramedic Nicholas Russell as the Arcadia Fire Department’s Firefighter of the Year. 🚒 Nick’s dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving others reflect the highest standards of the fire service, and we are proud to see him honored by the community. 👏
Thank you to Rotary and everyone involved for continuing to support our first responders and creating such a powerful community tradition. 🇺🇸

Congratulations to Lawson Turrietta on graduating from the UCLA Paramedic Program. This is a major accomplishment and a reflection of his hard work and commitment to the profession. Battalion Chief Jacob Sutton was there to help celebrate the moment. Proud day all around.
4/2/26- Today we are incredibly grateful to be awarded Community Project Funding through Congresswoman @repjudychu in support of the U.S. Forest Service and Arcadia Joint Fire Training Center.
This project represents a major investment in firefighter training, preparedness, and regional collaboration. We appreciate the continued support and advocacy that helped make this possible.
This training center will be a lasting benefit not only to Arcadia, but to the greater region and the communities we serve.
There is still work ahead to bring this project to life, but this support allows us to begin building momentum right away. We’re ready to get to work and move this forward for our community.

3/19/26 – Today at Station 106, we partnered with the Arcadia Unified School District nursing team to conduct training focused on pediatric care and school-based emergency response.
We reviewed key medical skills, discussed expectations when responding to incidents on campus, and gained a better understanding of how we can support one another when it matters most.
Most importantly, it was a great opportunity to build relationships, strengthen communication, and work together to better serve our community’s kids.

A special day at Station 105 as the Arcadia Fire Department came together for a badge pinning ceremony honoring growth, commitment, and service.
We proudly welcomed new ambulance operators, celebrated three new probationary firefighters, and recognized well-earned promotions to Engineer, Captain, Battalion Chief, and Deputy Fire Chief. Each badge pinned represents countless hours of training, sacrifice, and dedication to our community.
The energy in the room was incredible, and we were truly honored by the strong turnout of family, friends, and members who came out to support one another. Events like this remind us that the strength of our department is built on people, tradition, and shared pride.
Congratulations to everyone recognized your hard work shows, and your AFD family is proud. 🚒🔥
Our three recruit firefighters are officially underway with training 👨🚒🔥
This week they dove into auto extrication building the skills, teamwork, and confidence needed for real world emergencies. Great reps, great questions, and a lot of learning happening. We are proud of the work these recruits are putting in as they prepare to serve our community.
