Exploration of a soccer shirt and how it could be centered towards Allah and Religion’ Front: an alternate version of the Ajax logo. Following all the prejudices on Muslim men and beards, it is often concluded that a men with a beard must be muslim. Therefore the Ajax logo must be muslim. The logo is altered with a kufi with a pattern made from three ‘X’s’, which is the symbol of Amsterdam, to adjust to this well accepted ideology in society Back: thinking of traditions of Muslim soccer players where they do a ‘sajda’/kneel after scoring a goal as a way to show gratitude to Allah. To accommodate to this ‘tradition’ I added a ‘prayermat/sajada’ on the back. This way Muslim soccer players always have a ‘prayer-mat/sajada’ hands-on to kneel on after scoring a goal Im aware of the rule that prohibits soccer players from taking off their shirt during the game. When showing gratitude to Allah, the yellow card is worth it Sleeves: thinking of the dua/prayer Muslim players make before they enter the field. To center this moment where Allah is called upon, I added 2 hands symbolizing the hands we raise when making our ‘dua’. After finishing our dua we normally lower our hands, but these hands never go down. Thus, the dua these hands perform is continuous A very blessed and bright Eid Mubarak Habibi’s! Made to be presented in @characharaboy graduation project ‘Tourist Shop’

Arab experiment 3: Tells the story of a nameless nomad travelling towards his long longed-for home, Arabia. Arabia is a non-existing utopia located in my imagination. It is a place known for it's many scents and sounds, but mostly for its hospitality. Arabia is inspired by the book "The Silk Roads" by Peter Frankopan and the headwear is inspired by Saudi headwear. . The sweet smell of scented candles accompanies the nomad on his travel home🕯 Photography: @xselma

Arab Experiment 2: An utility belt, inspired by traditional Omani and Yemeni wear, with space for your Khanjar or Janbiya (an Omani and Yemeni short sword that is tucked underneath a waste belt around the wearer's body). This is how an Arab water bender would look like 🌊 Photography: @xselma
