I imagined this moment.
The night before finals, eyes wide open in the dark.
A week ago, while packing my bag.
A month ago, phone in hand, reading the words: “you’re selected.”
Last year, after falling short.
Two years ago, watching the livestream, alone in my room, just hoping someday it would be me.
Four years ago when I started competeing for real and fully committing to the game
I’ve been chasing this title for years.
Not months, years.
I’ve failed, watched others make it while I stayed behind.
And let’s be honest: I wasn’t even in the race.
They weren’t checking their mirrors; I wasn’t there.
Four rejections, four summers grinding in silence. Four seasons of swallowing the same bitter truth: I didn’t do what needed to be done, when it needed to be done.
No one believed in me.
Except me.
So yes, this medal matters.
But not because it proves something to others.
Because it proves something to every version of me that kept going when nothing made sense.
This isn’t a medal.
It’s a message.
To the underdogs.
To the ones who show up, again and again, unnoticed, uninvited, underestimated.
To those who missed their shot.
To those who never got one.
To those who deserve one.
I got my chance.
And I gave it everything.
But the truth?
Even then, it wasn’t all up to me.
The outcome never is.
So I won’t pretend this was only about performance.
This was about timing. About fire. About alignment.
About that one spark that finally landed in the right moment.
This victory isn’t closure.
It’s ignition.
And if you think this was the destination,
You haven’t seen anything yet.
I’m just getting started.

Still soaking it all in. The pressure, the energy, the fight, it all came down to the smallest details.
This is just the beginning. The fire is lit, and the real challenge is ahead. Let’s go. ⚡️

Little recap of the Docks last week 😎
Not my best climbing in finals. I’m a bit sad I couldn’t defend the title better, but I still went for it. I fought every round, sometimes against the boulders, sometimes against myself, sometimes against frustration.
Still had a great time overall… except when I got into finals isolation and my iPod randomly decided to die 🥲🥲
