In his role as the R&D Innovation Engineering Lead at Britvic Soft Drinks LC, Dr Yianni Alissandratos leads the Design and Development of engineering systems & processes, driving multidisciplinary projects in sustainability, circular economy and digital transformation supporting the wider business achieve its sustainability targets 🎯 for 2025.
Yianni Joined Britvic plc in March 2021, having previously worked in industrial and academic research in pharmaceuticals. During his 1st year at Britvic plc, Yianni was a finalist for the 2022 “engineer of the year” award 🏅 by the Food and Drinks Federation.
So, what does Yianni 💙 about his role?
“The challenge! Aqua Libra is amongst the most ambitious projects ever launched in the drinks industry. We are not just serving our consumers great tasting drinks, behind the scenes we are disrupting supply chains, reintroducing new sustainable logistics networks, enabling eco-centric consumer behaviours, drastically reducing the number of single use plastics our consumers use and ultimately creating an ecosystem where consumers can hydrate and add dimension to their wellness journey.”
Yianni not only brings his passion for sustainability into his role, but he is also environmentally conscious and has a love for the great outdoors. Yianni also enjoys running and is currently taking part in the Lifeworks 100-day step challenge! already clocking up over 266k steps so far! 🏃♂️
