Puppies, coffee, and an important conversation came together today at our Troy campus. 🐾☕ Hosted by our Military Affinity Network and Ability Network, today’s event welcomed Leader Dogs for the Blind, a nonprofit with more than 85 years of experience empowering people who are blind or have low vision to travel independently at no cost to clients. We were honored to hear from @writerjill , a U.S. Army veteran, advocate, and leader dog handler, who shared her personal journey and insights into the lived experiences of both the disabled and military communities. Jill’s perspective was a powerful reminder of how accessibility, independence, and inclusion intersect and how service dogs play a life‑changing role in that journey. Between meaningful conversations, plenty of treats, and a few very enthusiastic four‑legged guests, the event created space to learn, connect, and celebrate the impact of allyship in action.
