Your Electronic and Experimental winner for 2025 is @apteekii !
Formed in the midst of the pandemic, as a way to navigate their creativity alongside the monotony of lockdown. The name Apteekii is taken from the Finnish word for ‘pharmacy’, as they believe music is one of the best medicines for all stages of our lives. The bands EP Reset was released in July and featured a collaboration with fellow nominee Claudia Kate on The Rest is Noise. This is the Cambridgeshire based groups first NMG Award!

We are thrilled to share that we have been nominated in the @newmusicgenerator awards for best ‘Electronic & Experimental’ act 2025!!
Tim (@timwncfc ) and everyone behind the scenes with @newmusicgenerator and @cambridgeradiouk are constantly doing so much unsung work for our local music scene. Be that through radio shows, hosting live gigs, curating and broadcasting festival stages, connecting local artists (it was Tim that suggested @claudia_kate to us when we were looking for an act to collab with!), etc etc. The NMG awards is an amazing time to recognise their work as well as all the incredible emerging talent we have in our area. Thanks so much for all that you do and we are honoured to have been nominated alongside so many other great artists. ❤️
Our new EP is finally out in the world. 5 tracks that we have spent the last couple of years writing, rewriting, recording, re-recording and shaping into what we present to you today.
