“Kelp Roots, the latest label concept from Seattle’s tondiue, broadcasts a new wave of aqueous, afrofuturistic dub transmissions from the Puget Sound region of the Pacific Northwest.
The platform’s initial departure, “Word to the Centipede”, finds tondiue emerging from a season of electroacoustic drone and nu-kosmische live performance, while guiding this energetic, freeform sonic practice into a 5 track journey of in-the-club and on-the-couch headtrips.
On the release’s leading single, Chickadee, tondiue peers through a veil of mist at one of the city’s many scenic outlooks; searching for and finding the ethereal, tectonic pulse of psychedelic dub history, and channeling this essence into a slab of organic, coastal soundsystem pressure.”

Apt E returns to debut new live hardware project Phylyps Hue for the third iteration of @groundhum at Seattle’s historic Washington Hall. The venue couldn’t be any more perfect of a setting for our early-evening exploration of improvised electronics, echoing(!) everything from early kosmische minimalism to slinky, swamped-out illbient… all alongside the many talents of @gladstonedeluxe@lucyliyou@sarahbellereid@bugbuspiano9@ivvyseattle and @selene_________________
It has been an absolute pleasure to help organize Ground Hum again this year. A lot of effort goes into making this event possible. Ya won’t wanna miss this.

Apt E will be gracing the decks of Ridgewood’s famed watering hole @nowadaysnyc in exactly 2 weeks for an all night affair with @ageless_adab for @livwutang ‘s residency night. It’s an honor to be asked to play alongside these future hall of famers!

…and its a doozy—a hazy 5+ hour spiral through radiant Sunday delirium at Central Washington’s premier annual sound outlet. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting for us to do our thing, and after having already spent the entire night getting down to unmissable music from our closest confidants, we were primed for indulgence of pure expression.
Our love goes out to ALL of the party people who make this event what it is. Thank you for treating the space with respect, so that The Lodge may continue to happen for years to come.

These cool cats will be importing their musical stylings to @xo_seattle_ — an unbelievable exhibition spanning 14,000 square feet across two floors of transitory warehouse space, leading to a rooftop patio with panoramic views of the city and Sound. Alongside the music can be found the work of dozens of contemporary artists based in the Pacific Northwest, with additional environmental enhancements by @ickyrainbow , and beverage enhancements courtesy of @ladiveseattle .
If you’ve been wondering what’s up with this outrageous space, this is the time to find out. XO’s residency is short and sweet, and will be over before the end of the month.
