Busy day in Sacramento yesterday! I was honored to open the Asian Pacific State Employees Association two-day convening focused on advancing equity, inclusion, and belonging within California’s public workforce.
Then headed to First 5 California’s Statewide Day of Action at Fairytale Town, where families received tools and resources to help children grow up healthy, resilient, and ready to succeed.
Congratulations to the outstanding small business owners recognized at the U.S. Small Business Administration 10th Annual Capital Region Small Business Awards! Small businesses are the backbone of our economy.
And I was especially happy to see longtime friend Harriet Salerno at Crime Victims United’s annual awards event. Since 1990, the organization has worked to support victims’ rights, strengthen public safety, and promote balance in our criminal justice system.
Days like this remind me why I love public service. ❤️ #LoveMyJob

Tonight, I had the honor of sharing a panel alongside two amazing ladies who have paved the way for many to become influential change makers in the community - Christine Nguyen, CEO of My Sister’s House, and Mona Pasquil Rogers, Director of California Public Policy for Meta, at a collaborative event hosted by the Asian Pacific State Employees Association, My Sister’s House, and 3Strands during Women’s History Month. We shared our experiences, struggles, and successes on how we got to where we currently are. While our stories may differ a bit, we all shared the same goal of lifting each other up, speaking up for others when they are not able to, and if you are the first, making sure you aren’t the last. #AD10 #teamnguyen #womenshistorymonth #sacramento #elkgrove
