Recently had the chance to animate and direct this piece for European Think Tanks Group (ETTG) — and it’s one I felt was worth sharing here.
I first pitched ideas around December, and we wrapped up the final project by the end of March. After years working in advertising, it was refreshing to dive into something that wasn’t driven by the usual rush of selling. Don’t get me wrong — I really enjoy the fast-paced, collaborative chaos of certain projects. They’ve taught me a ton, especially about refining workflows and staying sharp under pressure.
But this one was different. We had the time to go through three rounds of styleframes, fine-tuning the tone and mood. The first set of styleframes was beautifully crafted by @fabianshinzato and then I came on board to work with him on the storyboard, shaping the narrative together before moving into animation. Sound production was handled by @olucassandoval — a longtime creative partner and always a pleasure to work with.

Eu sou do time das que começaram a andar de skate "velha". Sempre penso como seria legal ter participado de uma crew das meninas de skate na minha infância / adolescência. Não tinha. As poucas que andavam tinham a cara e a coragem de colar no rolê sozinha. Ainda sim, quando decidi que ia aprender a andar, lá em 2019, por timidez eu acordava 5h da manhã pra ir pra trinda times (a old school kkk) pra tomar coragem de dropar aquela mini esburacada sem ninguem me olhando.
Lá quebrei o pé. Na pista trashera das areias quebrei o braço. Nada disso me fez desistir. Só ficava putassa que não podia andar. Ainda sim, por contingências da vida, pandemia, mudanças, relacionamentos e crises pessoais fui deixando o skate de lado e entrei num hiato de quase 3 anos. Até que há uns 2 meses atrás, ainda meio perdida depois de um término ruim, eu "lembrei que eu me esqueci" o quão bem o skate me fazia. Logo em seguida conheci o coletivo que me deu todo o gás e motivação pra voltar com tudo. Energia ímpar. Mulheres me inspiram. Mulheres de skate inspiram ainda mais. Me inspiraram também a tirar a câmera da gaveta que, diga-se de passagem, fazia tempo que estava guardada. Obrigada @stigaskateboard por criar esse espaço tão importante para nós. Sigo inspirada e empolgada parar seguir criando e destruindo com vocês 🔥🛹❤️
