Wild ramp sprites can be mean little critters. They pop up in Spring and hide in ramp patches waiting for unsuspecting foragers to pluck them out of the ground. Grab one by the leaves and he'll nip and nibble at you until you let him go (but then he'll probably just chase you on his little root legs). They can be scary, but they really mean no harm. They're only trying to protect their family. I dug this one up in my garden last Spring. I think he may have been lost because he stuck out like a sore thumb among my peppers and corn! .

✴The Great Moth, Dead✴
I was afraid, at first, because I interpreted this as an unfavorable omen. The first Luna Moth I've seen since I was a small child was dead and covered in ants. This was after the Moth became an integral part of my mythology over the past year. But I shouldn't see it that way. It's just a transformation, much like the Moth emerging from its shroud in the first place. I put the little dead thing in the dirt under a leaf and moved on. 🌱
