I keep going back to how devoted Darlington and Alex are to each other. They're both so different yet have so many similarities that it's heartbreaking (especially with how adults have consistently failed both of them in their upbringing and how they are roped into Lethe's business without fully understanding it's dark history).

I love anything teen titans so it was a pleasure to read this. It took me back to my childhood obsession with the Cartoon Network show. But it felt more like a bridge to the next book. Don't get me wrong, I love Damian Wayne and I love that we get to see his relationship develop with Dick, but I wish there was more. My favorite part of Damian is how he learns to grow as a person despite how he was raised and his relationship with his brothers. So, I wished there was more. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It took me about a little over a month, but I finally finished annotating Ninth House!! 🐍
🗡This the first time I've ever annotated anything that wasn't for school and I loved it so much, that I can see myself doing this more often
🗡That is not to say I don't annotate, but I usually do so on my kindle and this is more satisfying
🗡Annotating really helped me read more mindfully and better connect to the text and it's fun to add my own snarky (or super confused) comments in the margins
🗡I took a lot of time deciding on the highlighter and tab colors--to the point where I put off annotating for a couple of weeks until I received more highlighters when I ran out
🗡I decided to start with this book after attending one leg of Leigh Bardugo's Hell Bent book tour. I met such wonderful people and we got to talking about annotating and I felt inspired to try it for myself. And obviously I loved it!!

If it weren't for these books, I probably wouldn't be reading as much. I had a hard time finding reading material or the motivation to read until I (re)discovered my favorite genres.
🗡The Starless Sea really spoke to the bookworm and fantasy-lover in me. It's such a beautiful and whimsical world and it was so easy to get lost in it. I wish there was a door that led me to the harbors of the starless sea. I wonder what dice I would roll.
🗡I started RWRB the weekend before finals. I got food poisoning and my work-from-home job called me in to work over 10 hours that day. I was exhausted and bedridden. This book got me through it. It was so funny and heartwarming that I got through this book in two days.
🗡ADSOM was what I read next and I credit this series for making me obsessed with the fantasy genre. The worldbuilding and magic system pulled me in. I am anxiously awaiting Threads of Power.
🗡I know, I know. So many have read ACOTAR and at first, I didn't want to buy into the hype. It took a bit for me to adjust to SJM's writing style but I ended up loving it (the romance, the court intrigue, the characters--she is wonderful at crafting character-focused stories). Then, I devoured all her other books and I never stopped.
I'm grateful I'm reading again. It definitely saved me in my lowest times. And it encouraged me to continue writing. 💜
