Our Alumni Red Rocks hike turned into such a memorable experience: fresh snow, beautiful views, meaningful connection, and conversations that reminded us how important community really is. There’s something powerful about stepping into nature together, slowing down, and sharing space with people who truly understand the journey.
We’re so grateful for everyone who came out and embraced the adventure with us. These hikes are quickly becoming one of our favorite ways to reconnect, recharge, and support one another outside of the everyday routine.

"Last week, I was lucky enough to attend the Inaugural College Athlete Mental Health Conference at the University of Houston. Congratulations to Emmett Gill and his team for organizing a really special event! I am always so happy to see other social workers doing such amazing things!
It was so fantastic to be in a space with like-minded individuals all focused on improving and supporting athlete mental health. A true career highlight for me was sharing a stage with legends of the game and mental health space, Marcus Smith II, Montee Ball Jr., and Khalil Davis. It’s been a mission of mine to ensure more athletes' voices are heard, and stories are told to inspire and encourage other athletes to speak out, and these guys did an amazing job of showing honesty, vulnerability, and integrity. I am excited for the next steps in this journey alongside such amazing advocates and colleagues.
Courtney Messina is always my go-to friend and colleague for sharing these fantastic experiences, and I am forever grateful to her for understanding my vision and passion in this space. To everyone I met last week, or reconnected with, let’s keep the conversation going!"

"Last week at the Kipu Elevate Conference in Carlsbad was an incredible few days, and I’m still feeling energized and excited about what’s ahead.
As Senior Manager of Operations at All Points North Lodge, I spend a lot of time thinking about how systems either create clarity or chaos for our teams. Seeing Kipu’s continued investment in innovation, especially around AI, workflow efficiency, and patient experience, reinforced how critical the right partner is in this work.

We asked Emily what inspires her most about her work. Here’s what she shared:
"What inspires me most about my role at APN is the collaborative spirit of Colorado’s behavioral health community. Sustainable impact in this field does not happen in silos. It happens through aligned partnerships, shared values, and a commitment to continuity of care.
I am continually inspired by our providers and by the transformation that unfolds when someone begins their recovery journey. Recovery is also deeply personal to me. Both my younger sister and my dad are in recovery, and their resilience and growth continue to inspire and strengthen my own recovery. Their journeys shape how I view this work, not simply as treatment, but as long term ecosystem support.
I’m proud to support our partners across Colorado and to help expand access to meaningful, high-quality care."
