Testing Ground - Junction Model, Short Film
We are Testing Ground, class of 2026, which is a Live Build Linked Research Module on the MArch course at @newcastleuni . The module is based on a pedagogy of learning through making and real-world, practical experience.
We have worked closely with the national trust on designing and delivering a welcome centre in Washington. We have been unfortunate with the timeframe to build the actual building, however this short film shows us constructing two 1:1 junction detail models, which were amazing for our learning and great fun! These will be exhibited at the degree show at the end of the year.
Thank you Peter Sharpe and the uni for giving us this amazing opportunity — this real learning is often lost in our modern education. Thank you @aplworkshop , couldn’t have done it without you, as always…
