#gifted So excited to be using @anniesloanhome to transform the neglected loft space into another bedroom! I am using #Adelphi from their wall paint line to give this light filled room an ethereal feel 🧘🏻 Stay tuned for a before and after… for now though, I’m still sanding and prepping all the surfaces. Such a tedious job but a necessary one! Painting is just actually a small piece of the pie 🤓 #anniesloan #anniesloanwallpaint #adelphi #anniesloanadelphi #aplacetogether #myhouseandhome #myhousethismonth #icantstopstyling #prettylittleinteriors #dailydecordetail #mygorgeousgaff #faffthegaff #nestandthrive #myinspiringinterior #sorealhomes #beautiful_homes_feature #stylishhomevibes #dailydecordistraction #ukhomeinspo # #sorealhomes #homeinterioruk #myhousethismonth #allspacesgreatandsmall #interiorsnapshot #mystylednest #actualinstagramhomes #mykindredabode #thechichomes #myhomelydecor

I am gradually replacing little details in this house to honour its age and its handsome period details. Here, I am putting an antique iron latch in the bathroom door with an engaged/vacant sign at the other end. The number of times that I or someone has accidentally breached privacy in this household has been alarming. So I think a very visible sign and lock is an urgent need 😅😅 Also, this post is all about celebrating small wins: one lock/knob has been replaced in the xx doors in the house! And, I think it’s my first time to chisel!! And boy is it satisfying! I think I might have done a wood carving workshop though in Bali but I honestly don’t remember 🤷🏻‍♀️ because if you’ve ever been to Bali and you don’t remember what exactly you did, you mustve been having a grand time! 😬

We have been harvesting lettuce, mangetout and lots of herbs in the garden. We give them to family, friends and neighbours and it’s honestly the best feeling to be sharing this bounty with them! Here is my super simple tuna pasta using a clear sauce that is mostly pasta sauce 🤭 lots of cheese and extra flavourful, fresh from the garden basil 🌱

Hello, Internet! Here is my Edwardian home in Manchester with its freshly painted door 🖤 I think I might have confused everyone in my previous Reel where I seemed to have painted my door white. I realised now that nobody reads captions 😅😅 and that I should be more thoughtful of people who are not aware of the technical materials I use. To update the colour of plastic/uPVC doors, give it a coat of primer - which ONLY COMES IN WHITE - and when that dries, you can paint over it using any paint you want! 🤓 you can even spray over a finishing coat to protect the surface. Which I will do once I get a breather! So after giving my front door a coat of white primer, then leaving it to dry/cure for a generous 24 hours, i then proceeded to paint with Dulux Heritage Raven’s Flight. I absolutely am in love with this rich, deep shade of blue. And just like Raven’s feathers, you can’t tell if midnight blue or black or indigo or purple. I guess it depends on what time of the day you see it. There’s so much depth and mystery which I think is so apt for this handsome, old home. Okay so I hope I’ve settled this matter now. I did not paint my uPVC door in white (hahaha!!!) but even if I do, trust that it will look amazing in the end. 😎😏 #aplacetogether #styleathome #seasonsofsimplicity #simplehomestyle #standoutstyling #thedelightofdecor #makehomematter #edwardianhomestyle #currentdesignsituation #caringtoshareyourfeed #ownyourdecor #lovetohome #duluxheritage #duluxheritageravensflight #myboldhues #elledecor #allathometogether #lightinterior #ihavethisthingwithhome #showusurgaff #housebeautifuluk #interiorboom #mycrumbshome #dabblingwithdecor #levenshulme #myinspiringinterior #sahstylists #spotmyhouse #pretty_small_spaces #dabblingwithdecor #allspacesgreatandsmall

Up your kurb appeal with a simple update on your front door. It’s the perfect time to do it — not only does paint dry better at this warmer weather, but you also get to enjoy the summer breeze while getting things done 💪 Do not be disheartened that you have a uPVC door! Practically any material can be painted on now. I use Dulux Difficult Surfaces Primer as a base coat before applying the colour I have chosen for my front door. Make sure to key in the surface you are paint on first with a sandpaper. Keying in means you make the surface a bit rough so the paint has something to stick to on an otherwise glossy smooth plane. After sanding, give the door/surface a good wipe with damp cloth and water with a drop of cleaning aid. Do not skip this step as I’ve seen so many do! Can you imagine trapping dust and hair strands on your paint job forever?! Ugh! It’s especially tricky to do a smooth one while working outdoors. But hey, that’s where you train your 👀 I will keep you posted about my progress on the front door so make sure you like or comment this post. Instagram algorithm is doing an experiment again and it seems like it has kept my posts buried in a black hole! #aplacetogether #loveourhomes #loveyourspace #fridayhomefeatures #brightenmywall #myhomesquares #myhouselikethis #ourhomeobsession #revamprestylereveal #spotlightonmyhome #stylemyownhome #yourdiyhomes #pimpupmypad #dabblingwithdecor #cozyhomeshots #myspaceanddecor #myseasonalstyling #thechichomes #realstylishhomes #beautifulhomesfeature #sahstylists #spotmyhouse #wherewehome #upstylemepretty #icecreaminteriors #dailyhomeshare #thehousefanatics #allspacesgreatandsmall #spotmyhouse #housebeautifuluk #homeinterioruk #thehousefanatics

As much as I love flowers, especially cottage garden blooms, their beauty is short lived. At @bloomsbybeam , I recreated the towering spires of the foxglove by painting and sculpting the petals one by one. Unlike the real thing (that I see a lot of in my walks but seems like on its last leg now) my paper flower botanicals will surpass the season and will even last for years. . . . #aplacetogether #flowermagic #dsfloral #pursuepretty #petalsandprops #myeverydaymagic #petitejoys #oneofthebunch #ihavethisthingwithflowers #underthefloralspell #momentsofmine #flowerlovers #vscoflowers #abmlifeisbeautiful #verilymoment #searchwandercollect #beautifulmatters #inspiredbypetals #ourmoodydays #lovelysquares #visualcrush #dscolor #thehappynow #slowliving #mybunchofflowers #postitfortheaesthetic #simplethingsmadebeautiful #faffwithflowers #featuremyflorallove #featuremyflorals

Our favourite spot in recent days 🤍 I still have so many plans for the garden which was looking a bit neglected and tired as I have shown in a previous Reel. But with a LOT of manual labour, a furniture donation from my SiL, plants given by my MiL, (massive thank yous!!!) and lots of recycled stuff from the shed, it finally feels like a space we can relax in. I remind myself that plans are exciting thoughts to look forward to, dream about and talk about while also enjoying the progress we have made 🥂

Home improvements — no matter how big or small — doesn’t have to always be costly. In fact, just rummaging through your existing stash might give you ideas that will solve that gnawing feeling to update! (Lucky for me, I have a kilogram of air dry clay in my crafts supply cabinet! 😜) I’ve had these Ikea Billy bookcases that I used as wardrobes for our walk in closet. It came with the most humble of pulls but I wanted to see something a little less boring. While organising my craft supplies one day, I had a eureka moment when I saw my neglected block of air dry clay. I realised that I can do absolutely any shape I want with it as long as it is very solid to avoid breaking in pieces with overuse. I went for irregularly shaped smoothed river pebbles. I wanted it to be subtle accents so I kept the white colour of the clay and just made sure I left little imperfections on the shape and surface to make it look a little worn. You can get a 1kg block of air dry clay for only £4.00 in @hobbycrafthq 🤓 wish this was a paid ad. Hellooo HB! I absolutely love how it turned out. since I got to reuse old cabinet knobs by using them as base, this DIY was quick, easy and cost almost nothing! I

The weather has been soo lovely here in Manchester the past days so I can’t help starting on my garden project (even though I still have an infinity of unfinished DIYs that need completing! But aren’t we all guilty of it?! Please tell me I am not alone!!) First to go are the fence panels that was disintegrating before my eyes. Replaced it with feather board vertical panels which I may or may not paint in a dark colour in the future to make it “invisible” and give a slight contemporary look. I also reinforced the almost non-exist posts with Fence Buddy (go look for it in Amazon, it’s honestly amazing!). It’s a temporary fix as ideally we should replace it with concrete posts. But hopefully, my future planting situation would rid me of all fence problems forever. I would like to have an evergreen flowering hedge… is that too much to ask??!?! It IS a south facing garden so very lucky in that regard. Would love Hydrangea Annabelle but i really can’t stand seeing a twiggy hedge during winter!! Do I just stick with my rhododendrons? Any suggestions for a successful flowering hedge that you have? I hope you are also enjoying the warmth where you are 🤍
