I love designing for a coastal wedding. Typically the bride wants it coastal but not in your face with too many coastal / beachy elements. Not loud. Not overdone. Just quietly beautiful. There is something about a coastal wedding that asks for a certain kind of invitation.
For Gina + Michael we created a clean letterpress invitation on thick cotton cardstock — elegant script, a seashell monogram, and wording pressed deep into the paper. A taupe envelope liner printed in white ink, seashells and coastal florals blooming across the surface in the most delicate, tonal way. And then — the finishing touch that ties every single piece together. A frayed silk ribbon, sealed with an antique gold seashell wax seal that closes it all like a little treasure waiting to be found.

Simple doesn’t have to mean plain. And this suite is proof.
We hear it all the time — “I want something clean and classic, but I don’t want it to be boring”. And we love that. Simple doesn’t have to be boring. Clean and classic is what we do. But what we’ve learned after years in the studio is that the most beautiful suites aren’t the ones with the most going on — they’re the ones where every single detail that is there was chosen with intention.
This suite starts with a foundation as simple as it gets. Then comes the olive green cotton rag paper, the white foil catching the light just so, the matching letterpress ink pressed deep into white cotton paper, the vellum wrapping it all together, the satin ribbon, the antique gold wax seal closing it with warmth and weight.
Layer by layer, texture by texture — suddenly simple becomes something you can’t stop looking at.
That’s the magic of doing simple right. And it’s one of our favorite things to create.

The suite features delicate script calligraphy letterpress printed into soft cotton cardstock, paired with beveled, hand-gilded gold edges that catch the light in the most subtle way.
