🥳 APAPA SF is proud to congratulate Dr. Jian Zhang, Chief Executive Officer of Chinese Hospital and our board member, for being presented a Certificate of Honor in recognition of her 32 years of exemplary service and transformative impact on San Francisco’s community! 🥳 Furthermore, the city has also declared December 2nd as “Dr. Jian Zhang Day” to memorialize her impact and contribution to our community, including providing accessible, culturally sensitive bilingual services and care for the broader asian american community. The Chinese hospital has also established the “Dr Jian Xhang Leadership Fund” to foster and nurture natural talent and leaders across our board and hospital management team, ensuring the work of serving and uplifting our community continues. We wish Dr. Zhang the very best of luck as she enters a new chapter of her life, as we remember her incomparable achievements in keeping our community safe and healthy over three decades of service! 🎉

HX the Poet is an Asian American writer, award-winning speaker, California state champion in public speaking and nationally recognized creative voice raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through poetry, music, and storytelling, HX inspires people to embrace who they are and accept others from all backgrounds. A finalist at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Bowery Poetry Club, and Berkeley Slam, HX has performed in poetry clubs across the nation. His latest song release, “We Build Dreams,” is a collaboration with rapper A’niche inspired by Boba Guys, celebrates acceptance and chasing dreams. A’niche is an Indian-American musician from Denver, Colorado, and known by many as the MIT Class President turned Hip-Hop Artist! His viral Matt Damon Commencement Speech Rap was the launchpad to helping him unearth his potential for using his music to build bridges, shatter stereotypes, and inspire cultural unity. A’niche has headlined his own tour across the US, and opened for the likes of Grammy-Nominated R&B artist Jeremih, and Hip-Hop legends Kool G Rap and Slum Village. Most recently, A’niche premiered his new song “We Build Dreams” with slam poet HX The Poet at Boba Guys Fillmore in San Francisco. The song is a homage to Andrew Chau, Bin Chen, and the Boba Guys team, celebrating the company and founders’ vision of chasing your north star and building bridges between cultures.
