Here some praise for my todays favourite, lent to me by our good friends at @manthey_racing for my way back from the Ring. “Flipper”( yes, all the cars have names, because they are not just cars ;), a sharkblue Gen I 992 GT3 with the MR Kit installed. Car still looks and drives spectacular. Absolutely love it! One of the preseries project cars from Weissach Manthey used for the MR Kit development. I remember driving Flipper on the ring on Race Semis (“R”) in late october two years ago in cold and sometimes damp conditions. Closest call i had in years….. almost lost the car in a very fast section without grip…I could save it, somehow. My mistake, superb car, so controllable!
This machine now has almost 45k kms on it. At least 35k on the ring as development car, racetaxi- and instructors car on track days! Also a presscar for the media testing. These kms count at least triple! Hard life! But it still feels like new, strong engine, no rattles, no signs of wear and tear, nowhere! Nothing astonishing for me, but worth mentioning 😉 OK, I couldn’t help but clean the Racetex wheel, door handles and gearlever, badly needed after a long season 😊

New GT3 Touring. This one has the “Leichtbau” package and looks fabulous in vanadium grey. Shorter gearing is “oh so much fun” and the engine loves the revs. Is it an unlimited S/T now? No. But it is an sharper than ever TOURING and - with the Leichtbau package- maybe a little s/t, but no capitals ;). 😉 A drivers car you can take your kids with you if you opt for the rear seats. Leichtbau Pack in combo with rear seats a contradiction? Maybe yes, but one i am willing to tolerate 😉 #992GT3 #gt3touringpackage #Porschegt3 #savethemanuals🕹

Automotive throwback to 1966! Had a chance to experience a racecar as old as me 😂 and must say these drivers back then were daredevils! You feel like as in a deafening tornado thats kicking hard in your backside! So exhilerating and unforgettable! That might be the only streetlegal and original 906 Carrera 6 on the planet! I love germanys black forrest. Thats were most of my most memorable drives in the last years took place. And that one in the 991 GT2RS especially. Diverting from the heavy autobahn traffic after a meeting at a supplier we chose to go back cross country. And couldnt help stopping now and then to take some pictures, motivated by the beautiful scenery and the stunning looks of the 991 GT2 RS. For sure on my top 3 list of the greatest GT cars we ever made. It still is the lion king on wheels. For me, nothing in its class comes close in performance, precision and emotion. Drove the 997 GT2RS again, after years. Dubbed „the beast“ by the development team. 620 horses meet a sub 1400kg car with a manual transmission. Or rather „hit“ than „meet“ :). Still one of the most fun cars to drive. You just cant stop grinning and shaking your head. For sure one of the fiercest accelerating ICE cars, even being 13 years old now. .On the verge of beeing overpowered for the 997 chassis :).
