Hostages felt like an event, thanks to the late Raymond Dokpesi airing it on his brand new TV station, Africa Independent Television (AIT). Which Nollywood film should I focus on next?

There are some records you receive in your email, that blow you away. I have been listening to two songs from Aro Kuma. You should listen to him also.

The Galala sound was popular in the 1990s and early 2000s. Originating from Ajegunle, it bred local stars who became national sensations. Songs like ‘Welcome’ by Daddy Showkey and ‘Denge Pose’ defined the era. While these artists are documented, many people do not know about John Oboh, a.k.a Mighty Mouse, the man who defined the sound and whose studio moulded the genre’s future stars and produced its classics. This is his story. #NigerianMusic #Galala #Ajegunle #DaddyShowkey #TheNaijaWay
