Final screening in Park City. The experience of premiering a film at Sundance (or any other festival for that matter) is more about the people at your side than how your film is received or how much you sell it for. Sharing this valedictory moment with a group that I love and respect so much was the perfect farewell.
@squarepegfilms@larsdknudsen and @amy_knudsen_ brought a group of filmmakers together this weekend in Austin. It was amazing to feel the sense of community and shared purpose & to be together with old friends and new. 1 - a discussion of Eddington w all dept heads and A24 2 - A panel with Jennifer Venditti, Ellen Chenoweth, Noah Sacco and Matthew Greenfield 3 - Quality time with two of the busiest producers in the game.
#squarepegsocial thank you for including me.
I am so thankful for Momma’s Man. Ken and Flo Jacobs were artists and filmmakers from a different era, and to be able to work with them was an experience I will always treasure. We shot in the loft they’d been living in since the 70s, on Chambers street in Tribeca, filled to the ceiling with their work. We shot on super 16mm in script order with Aza’s parents playing a version of themselves. It is so sad to think that they are both gone. But the film lives on. And that is a gift.
Happy Birthday @rachelmikolyski !!! The best partner, mama, friend, the one who keeps my feet on the ground and is always there for me. I love you and can’t believe it’s been 18 years since we met. Here’s to many more.
LURKER is premiering at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival!!!! A retail employee infiltrates the inner circle of an artist on the verge of mainstream success. As he gets closer to the budding star, access and proximity become a matter of life and death. So thrilled to share this one with ya’ll.
