AOG Wellness was present at the APFFL's Youth Jamboree, where AOG Legacy Host @jazmine.goode interviewed athletes. We asked a mental health question - making space for athletes to connect how the game supports them mentally and emotionally, and how flag football is becoming a meaningful outlet for girls. This was an honor to partner alongside @pgfl757 to make this happen for the youth flag football community!

Thank you for showing up to The 2nd Annual Combat Zone - the participants, vendors, media crew, volunteers and sponsors! $1,500 was donated to EACH of this year's vital causes, totaling $6,000: Special Olympics of VA, the American Cancer Society, the Boys & Girls Club of VA, and Stop the Violence 757.

Sometimes we respond to the behavior
without understanding what’s underneath it.
What looks like attitude, withdrawal, or frustration can be a daughter trying to make sense of emotions she doesn’t yet have the language for.
That doesn’t mean behavior shouldn’t be addressed.
But understanding what’s happening internally matters too.
Because when we only focus on what we see,
we can miss what she’s actually struggling to carry. 💭
We tell daughters to “be confident.”
But if she doesn’t understand what’s happening inside of her,
confidence becomes something she has to force.
And that pressure often shows up as overthinking, people-pleasing, or shutting down.
Sometimes it’s not confidence that’s missing...it’s clarity. 🤍
Everybody talks about winning.
But some of you? You're playing for something deeper.
You're not just here for touchdowns.
You're here for transformation.
Because legacy ain't measured in points.
It's measured in what lives on after you. 💪🏽

Today marks the close of the Inaugural Nike Flag Football Camp in Virginia Beach! V. Richardson, Co-Founder of AOG Wellness, led the mental performance segment alongside coaches James Stinnett and Mike Artis of Atlantic Premier Flag Football, and Frank James of Wide Receiver’s Academy. While we missed a photo with James Lujan, Virginia Beach Speed Coach, he was a key part of the coaching team. Special thanks to David Richardson, Co-Founder of AOG, for bringing everyone together and leading with excellence as Camp Director and Coach.
What a mission. What a team. And the fun isn’t over — stay tuned for photos and videos of all the action, including the coaches jumping in to play with the youth. Their playtime was impressive! 😂 You don’t want to miss it!
One evening, with my daughter and nieces on my heart, I had an idea. To take the same concept I’ve used with high-capacity performing adults — executives, athletes, and entertainers — and turn it into a program for adolescent daughters. A space to explore identity beyond performance — where worth isn’t measured by their grades, likes, achievements, or applause, but by who they are at their core.
In just 10 minutes, I had the entire thing mapped out.
That same night, I wrote 10 letters to parents, tucked them into Jazzy’s backpack, and asked her to pass them to 10 friends.
Today, pictured here, are the starting 8. 🥰
And the number 8? It symbolizes new beginnings. ✨
This is legacy work. ❤️
