4x more likely to experience violence.
2x more likely to experience partner violence.
56% have experienced physical assault.
46% have experienced sexual assault.
Indigenous women make up 16% of female homicide victims in Canada.
We are only 5% of the population.
This is not history.
This is still happening.
Raise awareness , May 5th and every other day , we remember.

Je suis attristée et fatiguée de constater que cette réalité est encore d’actualité.
Ce n’est pas normal d’avoir peur dans nos relations, de craindre de sortir dans la rue, de devoir constamment se méfier.
Je rêve du jour où nous nous sentirons pleinement en sécurité d’être et d’exister.
Que notre monde, nous offrira enfin ce cadeau.
C’est tellement triste qu’entre nous, humains, nous nous enlevions ce droit fondamental à la plénitude, à la paix…
