Sculpture clay from Starworks fired in reduction at @cranbrookceramics and adorned with fine silver. I like her. PS it’s very cold here and I love it. #cranbrookacademyofart #cranbrookceramics #reductionfiring #starworksclay
2025 was beautiful, overwhelming, heartbreaking and isolating but centering, disruptive and frightening but right. #yearendreview #happynewyear #lifeofanartist @cranbrookceramics
My piece for the 5th edition of Cranbrook’s literary journal, Fountainswimming, in Portuguese and English. Thank you @martyschapiro and @hayleylabrummorrison for bringing this project together and keeping the tradition alive! Also for keeping the actual fountain swimming portion of the book launch party optional. 💦 #cranbrookacademyofart
First year at Cranbrook, done. First picture is my studio the day I moved in. Second picture is from today, clean, newly painted and packed for the summer. Then a few random pics from the year, ending with today’s bananagram & pizza dinner.
Two sides of a wood-fired piece that never felt quite finished, so last week it finally went back into the kiln. I think she’s ready now. #woodfiredceramics #functionalart
We had our last crit of the semester today, the very last with our second years. In the fall, I’ll be a second year. It’s only been eight months since I moved here—Michigan is still completely foreign and I’ve barely been to Detroit. But Cranbrook feels very familiar, and that’s not surprising because I spend the vast majority of my waking hours here. I don’t have much more to say, I just wanted to post some pictures of my first year at CAA.
I used to take photos. This is one of the best—I’ll post more. I miss going out with my camera and nothing on my schedule. #documentaryphotography #stilllife #casabrasileira
