OFF THE STRING 1: WORM GOD
hi!!! i started a new series (mostly just inked, may add colour later) called "off the string" w worm god (worm on a string/squirmle) as the first piece! weird and vaguely threatening, i know-- based off of the following concept:
what happens when squirmle is released from his string and is no longer a puppet? he's always had a mind of his own, but what will he do w a body of his own? what does worm god want? squirmle(s) sneak their ways into diff events, childhood memories, etc.
this is probably all coming from the fact that when i first got a squirmle i thought itd actually b alive but it was a thin string fake pet :((( so the image of squirmle x the vibe of a furby has created off the string. :)!!!
HI! For my Gender Action Project for my Women's Studies class, I studied the impacts of YA literature on girls by interviewing my peers about their experiences with John Green's Paper Towns. I compiled some quotes from interviews with ones from the book here. I found that the "I'm not like other girls" and "I'm a nice guy" stereotypes were so prominent in this book and influenced who we were and how we thought in middle school, as well as how our identities played into this.
