The #TRILITE system, designed by @giorgioravastudio , was born from the desire to suspend matter, giving shape to gravity. It is inspired by man’s first architectural gestures, when three elements were enough to lift stone toward the sky. A primordial and monumental balance. A self-supporting system for furniture and sinks, based on a three-point support structure. The basic “T” element distributes vertical loads and transfers the weight to the ground in a controlled manner. At the recent @isaloniofficial in Milan, guests to the Domus_antoniolupi stand were welcomed into a contemplative lobby where the #Orion bath in lava grey marble took centre stage. TRAMEDITERRA, the freestanding sink designed by @gumdesign for #antoniolupi, emerges from the encounter between technological craftsmanship and the memory of the material. Crafted from stoneware using a 3D printing process, the sink reveals its construction method as a formal quality. Each layer of stoneware lies side by side with the next, forming subtle, consistent lines—deep enough to remain visible, a gentle resistance. In TRAMEDITERRA, every line is necessary, every intersection is intentional; it is not decoration, but the very structure of the object—a mineral embroidery. Designed @carlocolomboarch #Charlie is a bed organized around two pure geometric figures that come together to define the pivotal elements of the project: a rectangular bed frame onto which a headboard with a trapezoidal section is inserted. It is precisely the diagonal lines of the headboard that make the overall image more dynamic and slenderer, the essentiality of which is embellished and emphasized by the prominent stitching that becomes decoration and draws the section of the bed, transforming it into an architectural facade that changes the hierarchies of the project. The investigation by @paoloulian and #antoniolupi of form as the result of the gesture of breaking, even if not fully controlled, is enriched by a new protagonist. The new freestanding sink, obtained by manually digging the basin to simulate the action of water eroding the material drop by drop, could only be called #NEOLITICO. This ritual of nature is replicated by human hands to create a rough surface that reveals the interior of the material.
