Part 2: A Cabin in the woods, kayaking in the sea and witnessing a ship disappear into the fog, taking dips in waterfalls, eating pancakes and lobsters, watching a moose munch on some snacks, driving up a mountain with no ledge, and a broken doggie stroller later here we are. Can’t wait to not drive for a while. ⛰️🌊🦞🫎
Part 1: We’re finally back from our first vacation in years and it was an amazing experience. Many words can describe this trip but more than anything the one that keeps popping up is NEEDED. We really needed this perfect little getaway just a few hours from home. From Acadia to the White Mountains and everywhere we went in between. Can’t wait to go back up there. Wait for part 2 and more adventures.
Took me a bit longer than I wanted but finally finished Babel. What a majestic journey it’s been. Highly recommend this book to all the alternate history-fantasy-fictionborderingnonfiction and those who like learning about cultural identity and nationalism. #Babel #RFKuang #books #reading #literature
What a crazy adventure we’ve had, and we’re just getting started. First met in March 2009, started “really” dating in 2012, and got married in July 2019. Thank you letting me be in your life, for accepting me for who I am, for all the great memories, for helping us get through the hard times, and for everything you do. I love you so much. Happy Anniversary my dear.
“Shaken not stirred.” Described in detail by Ian Fleming’s titular character James Bond in Casino Royale (1956), the Vesper is Bond’s go to cocktail. 3 measures of gin, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet and a twist of lemon. And while Bond does ask for his shaken, stirred helps keep the drink strong.
