Balmain announces Antonin Tron as new Creative Director. “I am deeply honoured to be joining Balmain, and grateful to Mr. Rachid and Matteo for entrusting me with this extraordinary House. I wish to express my gratitude to Olivier Rousteing for building Balmain into the global brand it is today. Balmain has a truly inspiring history. At its heart, the House embodies savoir-faire, culture, sensuality, and elegance - fashion that is radiant, precise, and bold. This resonates deeply with me, and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to build on this incredible legacy” - Antonin Tron.
Antonin will present his first collection, Balmain Fall-Winter 2026-27, in Paris in March 2026.
Judith Scott, born with Down syndrome and deafness, spent over 30 years in an Ohio institution where her disabilities went undiagnosed, leaving her without access to art materials. In 1986, her twin sister, Joyce, brought her to San Francisco and enrolled her at Creative Growth, an art center for disabled adults. Initially dabbling in drawing, Scott found her voice in a textile workshop, where she began creating complex, totemic fiber sculptures. Scott continued creating until her death in 2005 at age 61.
Touching Feeling: Affect, Pedagogy, Performativity by Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick explores the intersections of affect, emotion, and queer theory. Sedgwick examines how feelings shape our understanding of identity, language, and culture. Through essays on topics like shame, texture, and pedagogy, she argues for a more nuanced, embodied approach to knowledge that values emotion and sensation.

“The cyborg is a kind of disassembled and reassembled, postmodern collective and personal self. This is the self feminists must code.”
