One year ago we opened our doors for the first time. Already 🫠
So grateful for what Handshake has become in just one year. I wanted to say a big thank you to all those who have supported us since day one, to all our brand partners for their trust, especially those I met a long time ago and who’s trust for
@carbon_athletics was already there as well
Thank you to the local running community (Handshake and other run crews), present at every single event we do and at every Saturday morning run, or even at some of them. Thank you to our super regular (they know who they are), but also to our not so regular customers and our one-time customers, who trust our brand selection and our products. Thank you to the tourists visiting Brussels and having Handshake on their to-do list for the weekend, next to other local addresses that I truly admire, it means so much.
Thank you to all our creative partners whose help is unprecedented - architects, designers, photographers & videographers.
Thank you to my gf Tamara, all my best friends, and my family for supporting and helping me in this ultramarathon that has been the last year. I’ll make sure to have more time for them this year

Working hand in hand with someone with experience who could be my dad is actually really fun and helps me to learn and challenge myself! The last picture is a picture taken in Antwerp, right between Eindhoven where he lives and Brussels where I live, where we gave that proper HANDSHAKE 🤝 to say YES, to build this company together, about 1 year and 8 months ago. I could for the storytelling end up saying that the name comes from there but no it doesn’t. You know where it’s from
